Exchange Policy
All sales are final. Watch LA does not offer refunds. Within 30 days of delivery you may bring your watch back to our Downtown Los Angeles showroom to be assessed for an exchange.
No refunds
We do not issue refunds on any piece we sell. Because every watch is a one-of-one pre-owned item, we ask you to be certain before you buy — and we would much rather you saw the watch in person first. Our showroom is open to walk-ins Monday to Saturday, 10am–5pm, and you are welcome to try any piece on the wrist before committing.
The 30-day exchange window
Within 30 days of delivery you may bring the watch back to our showroom and ask to exchange it for another piece in our inventory. Exchanges are assessed in person after we inspect the watch. They are not automatic.
What we check at inspection
- That it is the watch we sold you — confirmed by serial and reference number against our record of sale.
- That the condition is unchanged — no additional wear, scratches, dents, or water exposure beyond the condition documented at the time of sale.
- That no work has been done — no service, polishing, refinishing, part substitution, or modification by anyone else.
- That everything is present — original box, papers or warranty card, links, straps, tags, and any extras shown in the listing photos.
If the piece passes inspection, we will offer an exchange against any watch in our current inventory. Your original purchase price is credited at full value, with no markup on the new piece. If the new piece costs more, you pay the difference. We recommend exchanging for a piece of equal or greater value: where the new piece costs less, the difference is not paid out in cash.
We reserve the right to decline an exchange on a piece that does not pass inspection.
Exchanges happen in person
Exchanges are handled at our showroom — 650 S Hill St, Suite A8, St. Vincent Jewelry Center, Downtown Los Angeles — and not by mail. If you are buying from outside Los Angeles, please contact us before you order so we can talk through what that means for you.
Pieces that cannot be exchanged
- Watches explicitly marked “Sold As-Is” or “Project Watch” in the listing. These are clearly disclosed in the product description and the price reflects the condition.
- Special orders — pieces sourced specifically for you through a custom search request, hold, or reservation deposit — once the watch has been acquired on your behalf. Any deposit terms are put in writing before sourcing begins.
Your warranty is separate
This policy is separate from your warranty. Every watch we sell carries a 12-month limited warranty covering mechanical defects, as set out in our FAQ. If a mechanical fault appears, contact us — that is handled under the warranty, not under this exchange policy.
